TROX VARYCONTROL type air terminal units for supply and extract air systems, can be used for almost any control, regulation and shut-off tasks in room air conditioning systems. The selection of the type of units is based on the acoustical requirements and the control functions.

Type CVFB

TROX Series Fan VAV Boxes save energy by utilising the warm air in the building already generated by other sources and mixing it with primary air before distributing a constant volume air supply direct to the occupied zone. This reduces energy consumption, so providing long term operational savings. TROX Series Fan VAV boxes are suitable for pneumatic or electronic control. Volume flow tolerance is dependent on the type of control system but is typically ±5% to ±10% of set volume.

The units are designed for use in VAV systems and in conjunction with DDC controllers permit communications between the boxes and a centralised control area.

Type SFTB

SFTB

This reduces energy consumption, so providing long term operational savings. Available in a range of sizes from 100 l/s to 875 l/s.

TROX Series Fan VAV boxes are suitable for pneumatic or electronic control. Volume flow tolerance is dependent on the type of control system but is typically ±5% to ±10% of set volume.

The units are designed for use in VAV systems and in conjunction with DDC controllers permit communications between the boxes and a centralised control area.

TROX Series Fan VAV Terminal Boxes have been designed and developed to achieve lower room noise levels.

Discharge and case radiated sound pressure levels of NR 35 can be achieved in the occupied zone.

Pressure independent control of the primary VAV damper is accomplished by use of a Multi-point flowgrid which gives accurate control of air flow even with a 90° bend on the inlet spigot.

Type TVS

TROX Varycontrol VAV units Type TVS are volume flowrate controllers for supply air on variable volume systems.

They consist of a casing with circular inlet spigot and rectangular outlet connection, integral attenuator for the reduction of regenerated noise, damper blade and averaging differential pressure grid for monitoring the volume flowrate. The damper blade with plastic seal is air tight to DIN 1946 in the closed position.
Because the casing can be supplied in alternative lengths the unit can be selected to meet the specification requirements.

The attenuator length is short in construction and therefore the units are especially suitable for systems with less stringent acoustic requirements and limited space. The TVS unit can be supplied with two or four row reheat coils, if required.
The unit also incorporates the control components, (velocity controller, transducer. Actuator) which are factory fitted, wired and tubed. Each VAV unit is aerodynamically tested at the factory and set to the required volume flowrates.
