Brief Description

The RM-O-VS-D-LON smoke detector is used to actuate special fire or smoke extraction dampers equipped with LON modules such as the TROX LON-WA1/B2.

The RM-O-VS-D - LON supports:

  • Fire dampers with electrical triggering device (closed circuit operation)
  • Fire dampers with ectrical-pneumatic triggering device (closed circuit operation)
  • Smoke extraction dampers with electrical spring return actuators



Further technical details:

  • Integrated power supply unit, evaluation electronics, smoke detector, and air flow monitor
  • Signalling of the monitoring/alarm states via four LEDs
  • LON field bus interface with FTT10A transceiver according to LonMark profile 11003 "Smoke (Conventional) Fire Initiator" with expansions for the special functions of RM-O-VS-D-LON
  • Button for reset and test function


Central triggering of dampers via building control

Through the connection of the smoke detector and the fire dampers to the LON network, the RM-O-VS-D-LON can be coupled to several dampers without increased wiring. In case of a fire, the dampers are closed via the central control system and thus prevent the transfer of smoke via the ventilation ducts of ventilation systems.

The LON interface also permits the integration of the smoke detector into superordinate systems (Builing Management Systems) so that they can be operated easily and monitored from a centralised position.
