Through non-contact and wear-free measurement of the intake speed, the exhaust volume flow is automatically adjusted as necessary to the opening width of the fume hoods protective window. It makes no difference whether the window is only partially lifted or a sash window is opened. If thermal loads are high, the exhaust volume flow is increased automatically.
This variable volume flow control in relation to the window opening position combines increased safety with lower operating costs. In addition, the lower air change rates lead to greater comfort.
The microprocessor based controller is highly precise, exceptionally fast and thus offers a high degree of safety as well as very economical cupboard operation.
All requirements for the DIN EN 14175, the British Standard and the ASHRAE are fulfilled. The examinations are performed by an independent institute and are documented in the required test certificates as per DIN EN 1475 Part 6.
Monitoring of volume flow and/or air intake speed is selectable.
In addition to the analogue inputs and outputs for sensors, actuators and measurements, the TCU-II system provides additional digital inputs and outputs for switching functions. These can be used, for example, to issue alarm messages to a higher order central building control system or implement switchable special functions.
LABCONTROL fume hood controller are delivered with a standard control panel for alarm signalling and activation of special types of operation.
As an option, an expanded control panel with additional functions is available.
