Designed by Foster and Partners, the impressive Bishops Square 100,000m² development will house the headquarters of international law firm Allen & Overy.

The building - comprising of around 71,900 sq m of offices and 4,000 sq m (43,000 sq ft) of retail space - is composed of four vertical blocks, each colour-coded to represent the four world regions in which Allen & Overy operates: North America is blue, Europe is brown, the Middle East is yellow and Asia is red.

As the company headquarters building the terminal air conditioning system was required to meet the highest standards as set out in Hilson Moran's detailed documentation. Since the end client was an internationally renowned lawyer the team were expecting all participants in the project to deliver on time and to specification.

In excess of 3500 fan coil units plus all the associated diffusers were supplied by TROX in a contract worth more than £1.5 million.

The design team particularly liked the single point responsibility TROX provided, together with the guarantees on performance.

The building is fitted with state of the art environmentally friendly devices that will help Allen & Overy be as environmentally efficient as possible.

As well as generating power from the panels on the roof - saving more than 23 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year - heat reclamation from the air conditioning system diverts waste heat and uses it to heat the air in the building.
